  1. Be Conservative. Don’t plan for booming times right now. Experts suggest you plan for a bit of worst-case scenario by estimating your expenses to be a tad higher than expected and income to be a bit lower than expected.
  2. Focus On Timing. Predicting the timing of your inflow and outflow of cash is critical to a good cash flow forecast. The timing of cash flow is what will help identify if there is going to be a shortfall and ensures that a business will be able to pay its debts as and when they fall due.
  3. Publish, Monitor & Adjust. No cash flow forecasting statement should be set in stone.
